Holy City Med
Real providers. Real personalities. Real people who are genuinely glad you walked in — across both our Charleston locations.
Not a revolving door of strangers.
At Holy City Med, you see whoever is on shift — not a dedicated assigned provider. But this is a small, consistent team. The same faces show up across both locations, sharing the same values and the same standard of care.
Your full health history lives in Elation, our clinical records system. Every provider who sees you walks in already knowing your story — past visits, medications, conditions, and notes. Continuity doesn’t require always seeing the same person when the whole team knows you.
Holy City Med exists because two people believed deeply that every person deserves real healthcare without the hassle. Frank and Chelsea built it — and they still show up every day to protect what it stands for.
A Charleston native through and through. Frank spent 12 years as CEO of another urgent and primary care group — growing it, refining it, and eventually exiting in 2018. He launched Holy City Med in January 2020 on a straightforward belief: every person and every family deserves same-day access to real healthcare without insurance standing in the way. That belief is still the engine of everything HCM does.
Chelsea has worked alongside Frank Wells in urgent and primary care for over ten years. That time gave her mastery across every aspect of clinic operations — and confirmed a calling. She considers Holy City Med one of her greatest achievements and is deeply proud of the care this team delivers every single day. Her daily goal: glorify God in the workplace and serve her team well.
Dual-board certified. Decades of experience. The clinical foundation that HCM patients trust.
Dr. Weissglass brings over 40 years of clinical experience in family and occupational medicine to Holy City Med. A graduate of NYU School of Medicine, he completed his residency in Family Medicine at MUSC and holds dual board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He previously held medical leadership roles at Carolina Center for Occupational Health and several other Charleston-area practices.
With 25+ years of primary care experience, Dr. Chan brings specialist-level depth to Holy City Med’s weight loss programme alongside her comprehensive family medicine practice. She specialises in managing chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease, with a strong emphasis on preventive care and patient education. She is known for taking the time to listen, clearly explaining conditions, and meaningfully involving patients in their care decisions.
Clinical Director
Kirsten is HCM’s Clinical Director and a board-certified PA with a background spanning Family Medicine and Behavioural Health. A graduate of Georgia Southern University (Biology & Sociology) and South University’s Master of Physician Assistant Studies programme, she brings experience across all age groups and is a strong advocate for patient wellness. She believes deeply in empowering people to take an active role in their own health — and it comes through in every interaction.
Seven board-certified PAs. A breadth of clinical backgrounds that covers everything from emergency medicine to orthopedics to chronic care — all under one roof.
Cassie has been a practicing PA since 2021, building her clinical foundation in urgent care, primary care, and occupational medicine. Early in her career she volunteered in an emergency department in Nepal — an experience that broadened her clinical perspective in ways classroom training never could. She relocated to Charleston in 2023 and joined HCM shortly after, drawn by the accessible care model and the team’s faith-centered culture.
Brian brings a well-rounded background across family medicine, urgent care, and orthopedics — and is conversationally proficient in Spanish. His specialist skills in musculoskeletal injuries, fractures, joint injections, and splinting give HCM patients access to orthopedic-level expertise within a primary care setting. Known for clinical confidence, a calm bedside manner, and making sure every patient feels heard and empowered.
Alex graduated from MUSC’s PA programme in 2016 and spent four years in emergency medicine before returning to Charleston. HCM’s model — fast, personal, relationship-based care — turned out to be the right fit. She leads HCM’s medically supervised weight loss programme and is available for virtual weight loss consultations via ZocDoc, as well as primary and urgent care across both locations.
Cassie studied at Penn State before earning her PA degree from Salus University in Philadelphia, where she also built her early clinical career in primary care. She made the move to Charleston and joined the HCM team, bringing a warm, patient-first approach that fits right in with how Holy City Med does things. Outside the clinic she loves cooking and baking, exploring Charleston’s restaurant scene, reading, and travel.
Whitney studied Biological Sciences at NC State and earned her Master’s from Wingate University in 2013. Most of her career has been spent in hospitalist and urgent care medicine — environments that demand fast thinking, confident decision-making, and the ability to handle anything that walks through the door. That high-acuity foundation translates directly into HCM’s walk-in urgent care environment, where it matters most.
Jessica has been practicing for over 15 years across paediatric emergency medicine at UPMC Children’s Hospital, urgent care in rural Ohio, occupational medicine, and long-term care across the Lowcountry. She relocated to Charleston in 2016 and has been a proud member of the Holy City Med team since March 2022. That breadth of clinical background means she’s seen a lot — and can handle whatever you bring in.
Tara is an experienced emergency and urgent care clinician who relocated from New York to Charleston in 2023. She brings deep clinical expertise in trauma and emergency medicine — the kind that serves patients well when they walk in with something serious. Known for her ability to work confidently in fast-paced environments and for the genuine compassion she brings to every patient she sees, regardless of urgency level.
Kristen brings over 20 years of experience from the hospitality industry, where listening, relationship-building, and genuinely caring for people was the whole job. She joined Holy City Med in 2021 with a passion for connecting people — particularly those facing real barriers to care — with a more personal and accessible approach to healthcare. Whether you’re exploring membership for the first time or have questions about what’s covered, Kristen is your person. She’ll make sure you feel supported, not sold to.
Amber has been part of Holy City Med since the very beginning — joining PRN when HCM opened its doors in January 2020 and coming on full-time in December of that year. An LPN by training, she started her healthcare career in long-term care in Homer, NY before relocating to Charleston in 2016. Amber manages the day-to-day operations of the clinic and is passionate about making every single visit feel seamless, efficient, and genuinely welcoming for patients and staff alike.
Richard and Stephanie work with Charleston businesses to bring Holy City Med’s membership model to entire workforces — so more people get care that actually works.
A USC Darla Moore School of Business graduate, Richard has been based in Mount Pleasant since 1995 and spent his career helping businesses improve performance and outcomes. At Holy City Med, he channels that same drive into helping Charleston employers access truly affordable, caring medical care for their teams and families. An active member of Seacoast Community Church, where he serves as Elder, Musician, Coach, and Ministry Leader.
Stephanie brings 20+ years in the Lowcountry, a Master’s from The Citadel, and a background spanning business development, sales, and event planning. She’s the founder of She Leads Events, a women’s business networking group focused on building real community among entrepreneurs. At Holy City Med, she’s passionate about connecting Charleston businesses with a healthcare benefit that actually delivers for their teams.
